It was our first time ever presenting a talk at a convention about game audio which you can find in this Youtube video followed up with a great article by Gamesauce
If y’all are indie developers or sound designers for games, feel free to watch the whole video as we offer our humble advice on what an ideal game audio pipeline should look like. 😉
Also, the presentation has connected us with the super friendly Wwise guys all the way from Japan! They very graciously showed us live demos of Wwise integration with Unity using a MIDI controller to adjust parameters in Wwise. As Audiokinetic recently pushed out a free license for indies, we’re hoping to see more of the local indie developers use audio middleware to further enhance their project!
Here’s an obligatory selfie with friends from the industry:
Casual Connect Asia 2014 was great this year with plenty of really good indie games exhibiting from all over the region. The annual Indie Prize was as usual, exciting and celebratory with plenty of booze. Our friends from Witching Hour Studios and PD Design Studio got Best Art and Best Audio respectively! It ended off with a party at Shanghai Dolly. Great food, great vibes, and thankfully, no one from IMBA got destructively drunk. See you guys next year!
